How the data stay current

Every time the site is built, a script retrieves the latest published values from the sources above and stores them as small JSON files in the /data folder. The site is rebuilt on a schedule, so the charts and every number quoted in the text follow the newest observations without manual edits. Each chart offers a data table and a CSV download that records the source and retrieval date.

Acknowledgments

Satellite altimetry, gravity and ocean observations are provided by NASA, NOAA, CNES, EUMETSAT, ESA, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the international Argo Program and the national programs that contribute to it. Sea level projections are from the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report.
