This site is built and maintained by Blue Earth Systems, a company developing the next generation of satellites and tools for monitoring Earth's water. Our team includes scientists who have spent their careers measuring sea level from space and turning those measurements into information that coastal communities can use.
The site has three parts.
- Vital Signs track global sea level and its main contributors using the latest observations from NASA, NOAA and partner agencies. The charts refresh automatically as new data are released.
- Sea Level 101 explains the science in plain language, with a deeper dive on every topic.
- Tools let you explore projections and observations for your own coastline.
Independence
This is an independent site. It is not an official product of NASA, NOAA, the IPCC or any government agency. We are grateful to those agencies and to the international science community for making their observations openly available, and we credit every source on the data sources page.
